England worries about the rape that occurs in Somalia


The British minister representing the issues in African continent, Mark Simmonds has said that they are very worried about the cases relating to the rape that has in the recent times been increasing inside Somalia.


 The British minister representing the issues in African continent, Mark Simmonds has said that they are very worried about the cases relating to the rape that has in the recent times been increasing inside Somalia.

 

Also Mark Simmons has called for the government of Somalia to put special responsibility over how the human rights and also the rights of the women could have been protected.

The minister of foreign affairs of the United Kingdom has indicated that they are not satisfied the latest  6 months sentence in which the  Benadir regional court sentenced over the Somalia journalist Abdi Asis Koronto who have interviewed a lady who claimed she was raped by police officers.

 

“The rape against women were one of the worst things for registered by the human rights organizations in the last periods. Also the other journalists should not be afraid of talking about the the matters relating to the rape, if a journalist is now arrested ”  Mark Simmonds encouraged the journalists.
